“Wired to Wear” at the Museum of Science and Industry
WHEN ART MEETS TECHNOLOGY
Quantum XPR was engaged by Chicago’s Museum of Science + Industry to design and build installations for the “Wired to Wear” exhibit, which opened March 2019.
Haptic Vests “Spider Sense”
Vests that sense the physical environment and provide directional feedback through haptics embedded in clothing. The purpose of this exhibit is to demonstrate how clothing can aid the visually impaired and provide the sighted with additional sensory input.
EEG Sensor Dress “Electric Dreams”
An artist’s dress and headpiece come to life with Quantum XPR’s engineering help. The installation responds to guests with a real-time fiber optic light display based on an individual’s brain waves.
